Jason Feid
Community Impact Award
2025

Jason Feid ('91), a proud North Attleboro native, has dedicated his life to supporting students and athletes in his hometown. After graduating from NAHS, Jason earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health Education, and Outdoor Recreation from Plymouth State University in 1996 and a master's degree in Education from Emporia State University in 2005.

Jason has spent nearly three decades teaching and coaching at North Attleboro Middle School (NAMS) and NAHS. He’s coached football, indoor and outdoor track and field, and spring track while also holding leadership roles within local sports organizations. Notably, he served as the coordinator of the NAMS Hoops for Hearts program for 26 years, raising an impressive $1.5 million for the American Heart Association (AHA). He has also been deeply involved in the North Attleboro Recreation Department for over 35 years, working with youth and adult programs.

As a physical education teacher at NAMS, Jason has shaped the lives of hundreds of students, inspiring them to live healthy, active lifestyles. The most rewarding part of his career has been his ability to connect with students and student-athletes on a personal level, helping guide them through their formative years. His commitment to both education and coaching is rooted in his desire to positively impact his community.

Jason's dedication to North Attleboro has earned him numerous accolades, including multiple Sun Chronicle Coach of the Year awards for indoor and outdoor track, and he was recognized with the prestigious lifetime achievement Gold Heart Award from the AHA in 2012, which is the organization's highest honor for volunteers. He was named National PE Teacher of the Year by the American Heart Association in 2018 and also received the Innovator Achievement Award from the AHA in 2017. In addition to these achievements, Jason has served on the state board for both the AHA and the Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MAHPERD), further demonstrating his commitment to the field.

Jason's personal life is also deeply intertwined with his career. He has been married to Leslie Feid, a second-grade teacher at Roosevelt Avenue Elementary, for 26 years. Their children, Julia and Colby, both continue the legacy of excellence Jason has fostered. Julia is a physical education teacher and coach at Sharon High School, and Colby is pursuing a degree in sales and marketing at the University of New Hampshire.

When not teaching or coaching, Jason enjoys his passions for sports, meteorology, and music. He’s been a season ticket holder for the New England Patriots for 35 years and is an avid golfer, drummer, and founder of a family band, Tobe Rode.

Jason's lifelong commitment to the community and the students he’s served underscores his belief in the power of education and athletics to shape the future. Through his work, he continues to leave an enduring mark on North Attleboro and its future leaders.
