North Attleboro High School Alumni Association

The North Attleboro High School Alumni Association is a non-profit, volunteer group of alumni, friends, faculty, and administrators of North Attleboro High School.

The members seek to build and strengthen the community of NAHS graduates and to explore opportunities to enhance the educational experience of current and future NAHS students.

Membership is open to all graduates, parents, and friends of North Attleboro High School.

RAFFLE WINNERS ENJOY DAY AT GILLETTE STADIUM

Winners of the Fall Raffle conducted by the North Attleboro High School Alumni Association, Matt Wise (NAHS Class of '02) and Courtney Savard (NAHS Class of '04) enjoyed New Year's Day at Gillette Stadium watching the Patriots trounce AFC East foe, the Buffalo Bills. The raffle raised over $1,000 for the alumni group, which continues to focus its efforts on funding enhanced technology initiatives at the high school.

The next meeting of the NAHS Alumni Association will be held Thursday, February 9th, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in Mr. Herber's room at the High School. Please join us if your schedule allows.

NAHS AA RAFFLE IS A HUGE SUCCESS

The winner of the pair of Patriots tickets donated by Tom Pirri for the New Year's Day game was Matt Wise/ Courtney Savard. We haven't done the final tally yet, but we raised almost $1000 for the Alumni Association. This money will go towards our next technology donation to the High School.

NAHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SEEKS NOMINEES FOR SIXTH ANNUAL AWARDS PROGRAM

Nominations are now being accepted by the North Attleboro High School Alumni Association for its annual awards program designed to recognize the achievements of graduates, staff, and long-time supporters of the school.

The Association will present awards in five categories at its annual event, scheduled for May 4, 2011. The selection committee, comprised of both board members and “at-large” community advisors, is accepting nominations through December 1, 2011.

The awards will include the Joseph W. Martin, Jr. Distinguished Alumni Award, named after the distinguished graduate of the class of 1902. This award will recognize the outstanding professional, personal and civic achievements of the men and women graduates of North Attleboro High School.

In addition, awards will be presented to young graduates of the past 20 years who have distinguished themselves by their achievements at a particularly early age in their professional, personal or civic endeavors.

Educator excellence awards will recognize current or past staff members at North Attleboro High School for exceptional commitment to excellence in the classroom and/or dedication to the students, staff and the school.

The Association will also present honorary alumni awards to non-graduates of North Attleboro High School who have made positive and substantive contributions to the school.

Finally, the Association will present the Alumni Community Impact Award that recognizes the accomplishments in and commitment to the North Attleboro community by North Attleboro High School graduates.

The Association invites the public to offer nominations for any of these five awards by submitting the candidate’s name, address, contact information and a 50-word narrative describing the individual's qualification for one of these awards.

Nominations may be sent to the selection committee via e-mail to info@nahsalumni.org, or by standard mail to NAHS Alumni Association, ATTN Awards Selection Committee, North Attleboro High School, 1 Wilson Whitty Way, North Attleboro, MA 02760. All e-mails must be sent, and all standard mail must be post-marked, no later than December 1, 2011.

The Alumni Association held its second annual Trivia Fundraiser - Are You Smarter Than a 9th Grader? - at The Chieftan Pub on Sunday, November 7, 2011.

TECHNOLOGY DONATION

The NAHS Alumni Association recently made another donation of $5,000 to assist the High School in adding wireless capabilities to the media center. Click here to read more..

To date, the Alumni Association has donated over $10,000 to the High School.

NAHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ESTABLISHES NEW CLASS AGENTS PROGRAM

The newest initiative from the NAHS Alumni Association allows graduates to take a more active role in the group by volunteering to serve as a Class Agent.

As the association grows and expands it's programs, it is aiming to establish more direct links and points of contact with at least one member of each of the school's graduating classes.

In addition to serving as the liaison between the Alumni Association and their fellow classmates, Class agents will help generate news for the group's seasonal e-newsletters, suggest potential nominees for our annual Alumni Awards program, and maybe help identify potential donors who can help us meet our annual fundraising goals.

You have likely received a phonecall or postcard from Harris Publications asking you to provide updated contact information. North Attleboro High School Principal, Bob Gay, has contracted with Harris Publications in an effort to keep the High School records updated. This organization is legitimate. The NAHS Alumni Association does benefit by receiving any updates gathered by Harris Publications which we will use to update our "Find a Classmate" records. If you have any issues with your interaction with Harris Publication, please contact Principal Gay directly.

NAHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION RECEIVES GENEROUS DONATION

January 2, 2007

The North Attleboro High School Alumni Association is pleased to announce the receipt of a generous donation from the NAHS Class of 1956. In recognition of their 50th anniversary, the Reunion Committee for the Class of 1956 and President Dave Redding have donated $1,000 to the Alumni Association "in the memory of our deceased class members": Fred Bastow, Larry D'Arpino, Victor Dion, Annette Frazer, Dorinne Guimond, Bruce Nimmo, Carol Stanhope, Carol Upham and Carol Woodbury.

The Class of 1956 has made similar donations in the past and invites other NAHS classes to do the same.

Effective as of June 16, 2005, we are a 501C3 Tax Exempt Organization and can furnish a Tax Exempt Number for your donation.
