Scott Holster
Born on September 13, 1972, Scott Holster's life has been deeply rooted in education, community, and athletics. A graduate of Mansfield High School in 1990, Scott pursued his passion for learning and music at Hartwick College,
where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in both English and Music Performance in 1994. His commitment to education led him to further his studies at Tufts University, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching in English
Education in 1995.Excellence in Education Award 2025 Scott's dedication to education extends beyond his own academic pursuits. He has been a guiding force at North Attleboro High School (NAHS), where his impact as a teacher and coach has been profound. His career at NAHS has been marked by a commitment to nurturing students and athletes, fostering growth both in the classroom and on the field. Married to Kimberly Holster, an elementary school music teacher at the Jordan-Jackson School in Mansfield and the Music Director for the Mansfield High School theater program, Scott's life is a testament to the power of education and music. Together, they have two children: Hayden, a senior at UMass Amherst majoring in music performance, and Hannah, a freshman at Bridgewater State University majoring in Communication Disorders and Special Education. Beyond the classroom, he has coached volleyball and track and field at NAHS and currently serves as the Head Boys Track and Field Coach for both indoor and outdoor track programs. His love for coaching is driven by the opportunity to see his students and athletes grow not only during their high school years but also as they transition into adulthood. Reflecting on his time at NAHS, Scott's fondest memories are the relationships he has built with the incredible teachers and coaches who have influenced him. He credits these role models with shaping his approach to education and coaching, and he strives to emulate their dedication and excellence. Scott's career has been enriched by the mentors and colleagues who have guided him along the way. From elementary school to his professional life at NAHS, the influence of exceptional educators has been a constant source of inspiration. He is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside colleagues who continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and dedication.
